Course Description

This course will be a theoretical and hands-on step-by-step training in performing Oocyte Pick-Up (OPU), Embryo Transfer (ET), and Intra Uterine Insemination (IUI), including key pointers, and case report studies on potential complications.

Course Objectives

To learn about

  • Good Clinical and Laboratory Practices in OPU, ET and IUI
  • The female reproductive system
  • The cycle preparation of patients for OPU, ET and IUI
  • Devices, equipment and environment set up
  • Complications and troubleshooting
  • Error prevention using electronic witnessing during OPU, ET and IUI
  • Quality management including training for OPU, ET and IUI
  • Clinicians, laboratory and nurses roles during these procedures

To train Hands-on in OPU, ET and IUI using simulators
To discuss case reports and complications with experts

Target Audience

Clinicians, fertility doctors, IVF nurses, and embryologists wishing to deepen their theoretical and practical skills in OPU, ET and IUI
